Steps:

  1. Navigate to Postology > General Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Adjust the following settings as desired:
    • Bullet Point Length: Select Short (1 sentence), Medium (2 sentences), or Long (3+ sentences) based on the level of detail you want your summaries to provide.
    • Summary Tone: Choose a tone that aligns with your brand voice and audience expectations. Options include Informative, Formal, Casual, Humorous, Conversational, Persuasive, Optimistic, Engaging, Inspirational, Analytical, etc.

Tone Examples:

Here are some examples of how a single sentence can be conveyed in different tones:

  • Informative: "Our latest product, Widget X, incorporates cutting-edge technology to provide the best performance in its class."
  • Formal: "We are pleased to announce the launch of Widget X, a testament to our commitment to technological excellence."
  • Casual: "Hey folks, we just launched Widget X – it's awesome and we think you're going to love it!"
  • Humorous: "Widget X is here! It's so good, even your cat will want to use it."
  • Conversational: "You know what? We've just launched Widget X, and it's something you're going to want to check out."
  • Persuasive: "With unrivaled performance, Widget X is the smart choice for those seeking the best on the market."
  • Optimistic: "The launch of Widget X marks a great leap forward – we're excited about the possibilities it brings!"
  • Engaging: "Get ready to be amazed by Widget X, our latest innovation that's set to revolutionize the market!"
  • Inspirational: "Widget X is more than a product; it's a bold step towards a future where technology works seamlessly for you."
  • Analytical: "Widget X, featuring advanced technology, is set to significantly improve performance metrics in its category."

Use Cases:

Choosing the right combination of tone and length can make your summaries more effective and engaging for your audience:

  • Casual + Short: Ideal for lifestyle blogs, where readers prefer a friendly, informal tone and quick, easily digestible summaries.
  • Formal + Medium: Suitable for business or technical content, where a more professional tone and slightly more detailed summaries are appreciated.

The goal when adjusting the summary tone and length is to align the summaries with your audience's preferences, enhancing reader engagement. Experiment with different combinations to find what works best for you.
